Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy: August 2021

This page lists the types of information that we collect from our users and shows what exactly we use that information for. We want to make sure you are aware of it so that you always see the whole picture of your interaction with us. Please read this Privacy Policy in full as by installing our extension or visiting our website you express your acceptance of the practices we list here.

What type of information does Phishing Net collect?
At Phishing Net, we ask for your name and email address. This is delivered by our third party supplier called SendOwl. This is not part of the extension / add-on. This is how we can deliver our license key key to you.

Your license key is then added to the extension / add-on to enable you to receive the latest Phishing Net Cyber Threat Intelligence.

We do not use Google Analytics services.

What Phishing Net can protect you from, is purely based on the type of license that you have. When you are using the Phishing Net extension / add-on, no personal identifiable information is associated with your license key when using the Phishing Net service.

When your browser opens, it immediately informs phishingnet.co that your browser has opened with the license key string and the time that the latest Phishing Net Cyber Threat Intelligence was downloaded. Each time your browser opens, you automatically download the latest threat intelligence information. We do not update when you open a new tab.

We do not record the websites you visit, your IP address, your screen resolution, the type of browser you are using.

We do record when Phishing Net intercepts traffic that we have deemed as malicious and this is recorded, along with the time and date as to when this happened, and your license key string.

What does Phishing Net do with the information collected?
We only collect your license key string and the domain, website or url that was blocked and the time that it happened. This means that we can see trends of when certain phishing campaigns are taking place.

Usage
The above mentioned data we collect will be used to improve the user experience of Phishing Net in general. We never share your data with any third party.

Phishing Net requires certain permissions so you can enjoy its full potential. For security reasons we use the narrowest permissions available to still provide you with the full functionality. These permissions are:
